Charles Young’s Biography

Charles Young joined CICS as Director, Corporate Services in January 2020. He has over ten years of experience as a federal public servant.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the Carleton University, as well as a CPA, CMA designation.

Charles began his career in the public service with Fisheries and Oceans Canada as a Financial Officer (FI), before transferring to Statistics Canada. There, he occupied various FI roles including those in Financial Management Advisory, Policy, and Treasury Board Submissions. He then joined the Office of the Comptroller General in a community development based role, working to advance and train the FI community in close partnership with the Association of Canadian Financial Officers.

Charles is also a member of the Financial Community Committee (FINCC).
